PARKVILLE FAMILY PRACTICE

Parkville Family Practice - FAA Physicals

Dr. Stokes is designated as a Senior FAA examiner approved to perform Class I, II, and III FAA Pilot Physical examinations.

Some helpful information to make your exam go smoothly:

1) There is an on line FAA website so that you may fill out the front page of the FAA examination form prior to your office visit. The website is https://medxpress.faa.gov/. This is far superior to the AOPA web site form which does not interface with the FAA.

2) Pilots will need to bring their most current certificate and documentation of any existing medical problems/ medications from their physicians.

3) The FAA requires a letter from your treating physician for hypertension, diabetes, previous cardiac and neurological treatment/etc. to allow Dr. Stokes to consider a certificate. You may have certain medical conditions which will not allow us to immediately issue a certificate. This situation requires sending the exam documents to the FAA to have them consider your certificate. We are familiar with the approval process and will do as much as possible to speed the application.

4) The FAA Medical Examiner's Guide is on line for review if needed at
http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/avs/offices/aam/ame/guide/.

THE FAA EXAM IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR A FACE TO FACE EVALUATION FROM YOUR PHYSICIAN TO EVALUATE YOUR PHYSICAL WELL BEING. This exam is only designed to assess your medical flying safety and is not an evaluation of any possible medical conditions.
