Dr Stokes has practiced Medicine in the Parkville area as a family doctor since 1985. He is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston followed by  a residency in Emergency Medicine at Truman Medical Center. From 1974 to 1985, he practiced Emergency Medicine in the inner cities of Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas while serving on the faculty of both KU and UMKC Schools of Medicine. Family Practice in Parkville has been a rewarding  experience amongst an outstanding group of patients.
    
Medical interests include cardiology, preventative medicine and evaluation and treatment of minor trauma such as lacerations, sprains, fractures, etc.
    
Personal interests include antiques, cabinetmaking, maintaining a 106 year old Victorian  home, and cartoon character ties. Dr Stokes is Married to Cindy Pratt-Stokes who is active in many Kansas City charities. Together they are active in their antique, persian rug and design business.
